Horses

Little Horse, Big Attitude
Meet my charming pony, Pep! Or Pepper, Pepperoni, Pepper Pony (get it?) or anything else that is hot & spicy. This precious girl was the first horse that I've ever owned. She was a late Christmas gift in 2012.
A woman at the barn had been leasing her, but she was only 4 years old and too full of it! She came from Texas and was broke to do very light reining, and they wanted her as a stead-eddy. My lease pony had gotten sick (that will be a different post) and I was riding her to get her booty to listen. Eventually, I started riding her English instead of western and then I began leasing her because I needed something to show 4H. All the while, I was looking for a new, larger horse that I could pursue the hunters with. Well, I fell in love with this little girl (14.2 hands) and after begging my parents they finally bought her for me! We've done 4H, western pleasure, gymkhana (she is VERY fast), drill team, hunters and now we are mostly eventers. She's had several health issues including: ulcers, navicular and problems with her deep digital flexor tendon. She's a spit-fire and a psycho and the most "mare-ish" mare that I've ever dealt with... but she is my baby and my favorite creature to walk this very planet.
This blog will consist a lot of this pony and the trials and tribulations we deal with! From health issues to training and everything in between.
